Hey guys I am here today with Mark Plavcan in Chicago, he organized a huge seminar here today. There was over 100 people on the mat and so many good guys teaching. It was myself teaching, Bruno Malfacine, Lucas Lepri, Dimitrius Souza, and Fabio Gurgel came in as a guest! It was one of the best seminars I have been able to attend! Today he is going to show us one of his favorite moves that is from the deep-half guard. It is a counter attack when they try to kimura you. This is a great position and it is important to know how to counter the kimura when you are playing the deep half guard. I love the deep half guard and it is a great move. Check it out below and then I will do a breakdown.
Breakdown of the Kimura Counter Attack from Deep-Half Guard by Mark Plavcan:
So guys I really like this attack because In love the deep half guard. One of the most important things here is that when I go to attack the kimura, Mark immediately gets the lapel. This is so important guys because if you don’t get the lapel it can be very difficult to defend the kimura.
After he gets the lapel he lets me be insistent on getting the kimura and as I do he starts to attack my back. This makes it very difficult to get the kimura. He also uses his legs very well to keep me there by hooking my leg with both of his.
Over all this is a great position guys, I have used this before and it is super easy! I hope you liked it guys, if you  have not already download my free E-Book! This is absolutely free and I give you a lot of tips and tricks that helped me in my Jiu Jitsu Career. Oss!
