Premier BJJ Training in Bedford, MA | Bernardo Faria Academy

Today I am honored to have the great Satoshi Ishii with me to show us some techniques.  Satoshi is an Olympic Gold Medalist in Judo and he was the lightest guy in his division when he won.  He has also had a famous MMA career and fought some of the best guys.  I was able to do some training with him and he has very good bjj or Newaza.   Today I asked him to show us how he does the clock choke that he loves.  The video is below and then I will do some breakdown.

Breakdown of Crazy Tight Clock Choke by Olympic Judo Champion Satoshi Ishii:

So guys as you can see from the video Satoshi’s clock choke is no joke at all, it was one of the tightest chokes I have felt. So what is he doing?
Well, the first thing that he does is adjust his grip so that it is very deep right away.  Satoshi’s collar grip is so tight and strong it feels like before he even moves I may need to tap.  Once he gets this grip he will control the arm, this is so that I cannot post and he break my base.screen-shot-2016-12-01-at-6-47-41-pm
After he breaks me down he is just going to walk and put all of his chest weight on me and at this point I cannot move or even breathe.  It is very tight.  I hope you guys enjoyed this position and try it out.  It was an honor for me to have Satoshi with me here.
