Today this blog is going to be a little bit different. As many of us know the biggest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament in the world, the IBJJF Worlds took place last week. For those that like to follow competitive bjj, you probably have already seen how amazing it was.
Last year, 2017 was my last worlds, this year will be the first worlds in 10 years that I go to and I do not compete. I am now retired. I am now focusing on my new academy in Bedford, MA and my online businesses. Being able to go to the worlds to watch was very different and I really enjoyed being there. The energy is amazing at the competition. Unlike any other.
There was so many things that stuck out to me this year and there is so much to talk about. Some of the things  that highlighted the Worlds for me was watching my good friend, Bruno Malfacine win his 10th world title. Bruno is, in my opinion, the pound for pound best bjj fighter ever. HE had 4 fights this year and 4 submissions.
I was also very happy to see my other good friend Lucas Lepri win his 6th world title. Anyways guys, enough writing about it, there is so much to talk about so why don’t we watch the video below where I share all my thoughts on the 2018 IBJJF Worlds. OSSSSSSSSSS
