Today I am here with Julio Binda. Julio is a very good black belt and a friend of mine. He has helped us with some of the DVD filming for BJJ Fanatics and it is a pleasure to have him on my YouTube channel. Today he is going to show us one of his favorite submissions from the back. It is a very different submission and a very cool submission. It can be very sneaky. Let’s take a look at it below and then I will do a breakdown of the position.
Breakdown of Hand Trap Submission from the Back by Julio Binda:
So guys this position is very different from a lot of the traditional submissions that we see from the back. One of the things that Julio is doing is setting up a trap. This trap is very unexpected because Julio is actually going to give up the back position just to get here.
Julio is very good at this position and the reason he is doing it and would give up the back is because he is so confident he can do the position. I always say that in Jiu Jitsu there is no right or wrong and if something works for you, it may not work for someone else.
For example, if I had the back, I would not give up this position to try and attack something else, I would go for
the beck, but that does not mean it is the “right” thing to do. Sometimes some people are so good at different positions and this is one of those.
Anyways guys, I hope you like this position, I try to put a lot of videos out because you never know what some people will like and what some people will add to there game. Oss!
