Hana Silva Tinoco received her Black Belt under the legendary Marcelo Garcia in 2019 where she worked and trained at Marcelo’s Academy in NYC.

She has been training Jiu-Jitsu since 2007 and has dedicated her life to Jiu-Jitsu personally and professionally. She is passionate about motivating and coaching others on their Jiu-Jitsu Journey.

She specializes in teaching Kids at all ages to encourage them during their learning process with positivity and excitement. She believes helping a child build their self-esteem and adopt an “I can do it” attitude is crucial during their entire Jiu-Jitsu Journey.

She is also very passionate about working with Adults, focusing on Individual mindset and the mentality of approaching Jiu-Jitsu in their training.

Hana was heavily competitive in Jiu-Jitsu until 2015 when her daughter was born. She completed all over the world and is a multiple time medalist at Worlds, PanAms, WPJJC and Gold medalist at other IBJJF tournaments.
